God’s wrath was met by Jesus on the cross. But in order for this undeserved favor, called grace, to have it’s fullest effect on us, God calls us to turn from our blasphemy and sins and turn to God, trusting that Jesus died for our sins and saved us through His sacrifice. If you have been changed by the realization that God is so good by saving us from ourselves and our sins, cry out to God for forgiveness and join a local church that carries out the mission of Jesus.
Crying out to Him is simple. Pray to Him and tell Him that you realize your are a sinner in need of His grace. Ask God to forgive your sins and commit your life to Him.
Romans 10:13
“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
But it doesn’t stop there. Your life, if truly touched by saving grace, will be a display of God’s grace as you seek to follow Him daily, desire His Word, and worship with true believers. It’s a life change started in your soul that will never let you go.
Galatians 4:8-9
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods. But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more?
The truth is – you can’t turn back. There is no turning back for the true Christian.
This is the gospel.
